Of the 19 in the field, PING has a number of pros heading into THE PLAYERS this week on great form. Sunday offered two new examples in veteran Lee Westwood, who finished second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Corey Conners, who was third.
Westwood put a fresh set of his customary i210 irons in play at Bayhill and was #1 in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, and 2nd in Greens in Regulation at 70.83%. He relied on a G425 LST driver, G425 fairway and hybrid. Conners led in Strokes Gained: Approach to the Green, earning his best result this season, one of four top 10s.
Also in the field are Viktor Hovland, a champion this season riding the hottest streak; Tyrrell Hatton, world #7, and rising star Joaquín Niemann. Harris
