WINNING WEEKEND

On the biggest stages, PING technology continues to come up huge. On Sunday, Blueprint irons and a Sigma 2 Tyne putter were played by the winner of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas. In fact, all four semifinalists had one or more PING clubs in their bag.

A G425 LST driver and G425 MAX fairway were used by the champion at another PGA Tour event, the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in the Dominican Republic.

It is the second win in a row for the G425 LST driver, which now has 10 victories across major tours worldwide, including at the U.S. Women’s Open.

BRAVO!

Job well done again for Lee Westwood, who continued his run of stellar play at The PLAYERS Championship, where he birdied the final hole to earn a solo second a stroke back, one week after the 47 year old was runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The Englishman earned more than $1.6 million and was joined in the top 10 by two PING pros: Canadian Corey Conners in seventh and Frenchman Victor Perez at T9.

“I feel like I’m still improving,” said Westwood, owner of 25 European Tour titles (44 overall), and he has won in each of the past four decades.

On The Rise

Westwood’s high finish elevated him in the world ranking to 19th from 31st.
He was 48th as recently as November.

FULL SPEED TO PLAYERS

Of the 19 in the field, PING has a number of pros heading into THE PLAYERS this week on great form. Sunday offered two new examples in veteran Lee Westwood, who finished second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Corey Conners, who was third.

Westwood put a fresh set of his customary i210 irons in play at Bayhill and was #1 in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, and 2nd in Greens in Regulation at 70.83%. He relied on a G425 LST driver, G425 fairway and hybrid. Conners led in Strokes Gained: Approach to the Green, earning his best result this season, one of four top 10s.

Also in the field are Viktor Hovland, a champion this season riding the hottest streak; Tyrrell Hatton, world #7, and rising star Joaquín Niemann. Harris
English (winner in Hawaii), and leaderboard fixture Tony Finau will tee it up at sixth and seventh in FedExCup points, respectively.

UK Open Darts: James Wade produces brilliant best to claim title and move back into world's top four

Sourced from Sky Sports

James Wade beat Simon Whitlock, Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries to win a third UK Open title of his career; his first major title since 2018. The triumph also sees 'The Machine' move back into the top four on the PDC Order of Merit.

James Wade produced his brilliant best throughout Sunday, as he claimed a third UK Open triumph of his distinguished career.

'The Machine' edged Simon Whitlock, before stunning world champion and the sport's top-ranked player Gerwyn Price in the semi-final, to set up an unlikely final showdown with Luke Humphries.

In a characteristically gritty display, Wade used all of his experience to see off the gutsy 26-year-old to seal the title 11-5, adding to his previous UK Open crowns in 2008 and 2011.

The experienced Englishman drew first blood in the decider, storming into a 4-1 lead at the first interval. He dug deep for another
